This is Tanker 5 in Woodbridge, a 2010 Freightliner/ US Tank 500/3000(D). I shot it the week before it was to enter service.

This 1929 Seagrave is the pride of the Beacon Hose Company in the town of Beacon Falls. The members restored it to mint condition, I shot this rig on a few different occasions, this one as it was being readied for the State Firemen's Convention parade in West Haven in 2007.

Deep River Engine 5-5-3 is a 1984 Pierce Dash 1250/750(D). I took this Photo of it last summer, I shot it originally when it was delivered to the town, that  view is in Volume 2, on page 57, as you can see they've added a few details and a red stripe.

Ladder 2 in the city of Torrington is a 1996 Duplex/LTI 1500/300/100' quint.

This 1991 E1 1500/500 pumper is assigned as  spare in West
Hartford. It is designated as Engine 7. When I shot this photo it was substituting for Quint 4.

Bristol Engine 5 is a 1990 E1 1500/750/50gft 4X4. I shot it while it was out with its crew testing a load of hose.

The apparatus in the town of Haddam is very well appointed. I photographed this truck both as a 3/4 roster view and a close up of the intricated gold leaf numeral, shield and other  embellishments. It is a 2006 American Lafrance heavy rescue assigned to rescue 5.

Rescue 171 in Eastford is a 2001 Freightliner/ Rescue1.

This one is a real beast. It is a 1982 Mercedes-Benz Unimog/FD built brush breaker 300/400. This is Forestry 7,  it serves the East Granby Fire Dept.

This 1993 Spartan/3D 1500/500 runs as Engine 21 in the Flanders FD in the town of East Lyme.

I did something a little different and photographed this truck both with the compartment doors open and closed. Here is North Canton Engine 5, a 2009 Chevy/Firematic 1000/300 4X4 showing what's inside

The Trumbull Center Fire District in Trumbull shows real resourcefulness by converting this 2000 Ford/ Transtar commuter bus into a dive rescue truck.

The Winsted Fire Headquarters in the City of Winsted of the town of Winchester shows these rigs lined up for response l-r Rescue 7, a 1976 GMC/ Reliable, Ladder 1, a 1995 Duplex/ Smeal 85' platform and Engine 2, a 2001 HME/Smeal 1500/2000

Enginetank 124 , a 2007 Spartan/ Marion 1500/1000/30A/30B serves the Baltic Fire Dept. of the town of Sprauge.

This District of the town of Stonington is called Wequetequock (pronounced- Wicketykwok) is an old Indian name meaning "land of the wood duck"-as you can see, a flying wood duck is on the door of Engine 32, a 1995 KME 1500/1000. I shot this rig on two occasions, one with this spring background, and another time, for my book. It appears with a summer background on page 54 of volume 3.

I shot this very attractive royal blue ambulance serving the Hampton-Chaplin Ambulance Corps. It is a 2009 Ford/Lifeline running as Rescue 512, and quartered in the Hampton firehouse.

Spare Engine 7 in Manchester is a 1990 American Lafrance 1500/500 and is a twin to Engine 8, I photographed this in front of Headquarters.

This beautifully restored antique is a 1938 Ford/Maxim 500gpm. It is in mint condition and owned by the Thompson Hill Fire Dept. of the town of Thompson. I shot this last summer, what a find! I really like to photograph hard to get antique rigs.

Speaking of hard to get antique trucks, here is a real oddball. It is a 1937 Studebaker flying manpower squad belonging to the Norfolk Fire Dept. Look in the front seat- Duffy makes a cameo appearance! He sure is well traveled and photographed.
