Out with the old and in with the new. Rescue co. 391 in the town of Old Saybrook took delivery of a new 2008 Pierce Velocity heavy rescue, replacing the 1988GMC/E1 on the right. I took this photo of Duffy making the "final inspection"

Squad 51 of the Riverton FD in the town of Barkhamsted is a 1993 Ford/Knapheide sevice vehicle that I shot in front of its quarters in the very rustic little village of Riverton.

The Botsford Fire Co. in the town of Newtown has this 2005 Pierce 1500/750/50gft(D) running as Engine551. My shot of it here is in Volume 3 on page 25.

Enginetank 540 of the town of Tolland is a 1988 GMC/Middlesex 1250/1000. It used to run as Enginetank 440. Here I shot it after being refurbished at Firematic. Look on page 69 of volume 3, I photographed it then when it was newly in service.

This 2003 Spartan/ Marion serves the town of North Stonington as Rescue 1.

The Lakeville Hose Co. is located in the town of Salisbury. Engine 60 is a 1980 American Lafrance 1250/1000 refurbished in 2000 and is utilized as a hose tender.

Tanker 5 in Avon has a really great mural painted on the side. This rig is a 1997 International/ Gowans-Knight 1250/3200.

Here is another nice antique I was fortunate to shoot, a 1937 Ahrens-Fox 500/250 with a rotary gear pump owned by the Falls Village Fire Dept. of the town of Canaan. It is in near mint condition and in perfect running order.

This well worn spare engine has had many assignments in the town of Wallingford. I photographed it here as spare Engine 6. It is a 1987 Pierce 1250/750.

This well preserved 1965 Mack 'B' 1000/500(D) is still in the town of Ridgefield as a parade piece. I have photographed this rig several times with different backgrounds, it always looks great.

The town of Simsbury has a wide variety of apparatus manufacturers in service. Engine 8 is one of two identical 1994 E-one 1500/1000/50gft pumpers, the other is assigned to Engine 16.

The Quaker Farms Fire Co. in the town of Oxford runs this 2003 International/4-Guys 500/400 4X4 as Engine QF-2.

The Christmas town of the state is what Bethlehem is called.
Engine 5 is a 2005 Seagrave 1500/500/30A/30B.

This 1976 Seagrave/1996 Pierce 100' aerial once served the Newtown Hook & Ladder Co. in the town of Newtown. I shot it here as Ladder 1 of Company'A' in New Fairfield. It was recently retired from service.

This 1999 Ford/Supervac rescue and lighting truck operates as Rescue 1 in the town of Sharon. It previously served the Bayer Laboratory EMS division in the city of West Haven. You can see how it looked on page 4 of volume 3. Sadly, Bayer has since moved out of West Haven, it was a huge taxpayer and employer in the city.

Engine 3 of the Lost Acres Fire Co. in the town of Granby is a 1988 Ford/ FMC 1000/1000(D).

This 1984 Mack/ 1995 Ranger 1250/500 (D) was refurbished with an enclosed cab and was operated by the town of Darien.

Truck 32 in the town of Wethersfield is a 1997 Sutphen 1500/300/100+. Wethersfield has the distinction of having the first organized fire company in New England.
