Like I stated before, when I can photograph an antique fire engine when it's up and running is a great experience, I like to see an old rig lovingly restored and cared for. This 1922 Brockway/ American Lafrance hose and chemical car is in perfect mint condition. It is the pride of the Bantam Fire Co. in the town of Litchfield. I shot his view on the weekend of the Connecticut Firemen's Association Convention in September 2009.

I also shot this brand new engine at the same Fire convention in 2009. It is a 2009 International/Rosenbauer 1000/650/30gft 4X4 assigned to Engine 3 in the Northfield Fire Dept. in the town of Litchfield.

The town of Stratford purchased this second-hand pumper from East Rutherford, NJ. It is a 1997 Seagrave 2000/1000 being used as Engine 2. There is a very detailed mural on the side showing antique East Rutherford Fire trucks battling a fire.

This nice looking limegreen 1991 Spartan/4Guys 1500/1000 serves the Ball Pond Fire Co. in New Fairfield as Engine16.

The city of Willimantic is an independant city within the town of Windham. Willimantic Rescue 501 is a  1996 Frieghtliner/ Luverne, the only such unit of its type in the state. I shot this in front of the very large and imposing Fire Headquarters.

The Bradley International Airport in the ajoining towns of Windsor Locks and East Granby has a large crash fire rescue service. In addition to tha many varieties of airfield crash trucks, this structural firefighting pumper is assigned to Engine 110. It is a 1984 Pierce Dash 1250/750 which  used to be owned by the Hazardville Fire District in the town of Enfield.

The Coventry Fire Dept. keeps this refurbished Mack as a reserve piece. It Is a 1974 Mack CF/1992 Fire Resources 1250/1000(D) assigned as Enginetank 108. I shot this nice looking rig before and after its refurbishment.

The Crystal Lake Fire District in the town of Ellington runs this 1991 GMC/ Linear Dynamics as Rescue 142.

The town of Roxbury has this rugged looking 1989 Mack R / Marion running as Rescue 9. Looks like a lot of horsepower for a small truck body.

Another stroke of luck, there happened to be some guys who are in charge of this perfectly restored antique hanging around South Windsor Station 3 when I stopped by and they gladly pulled this out for me to photograph it. It is a 1938 Diamond-T / Maxim 500/100. I was very pleased.

This 1979 Mack 1000/500 serves the Dunbar Hill Fire Co. in Hamden as Engine 8.

Engine 467 in the town of Westbrook is a 1977 Mack CF/ 2000 Middleboro 1250 / 1000/ 150 gft(D). I shot this rig in both its original and in this refurbished version. Very impressive.

This is one of the last of the limegreen apparatus in the Stevenson fire Co. in the town of Monroe. Like many Connecticut Fire departments lately, red is making a comeback for fire apparatus colors. This is a 1983 American Lafrance 1500/1000(D). I shot this engine in this refurbished form in 2009. If you look at page 18 of volume 3 you can see my shot of it when it originally was delivered in 1983.

Truck 26 of the Danbury Municipal airport is operated by the on duty firefighters of Engine 26 in the city of Danbury. It is a 1992 Chevrolet/ CRE 250/150/25gft/500#dc.

Engine 20 in the town of Cornwall is a 1989 White-GMC/ 4Guys 1500/1000. It has recently been retired from service.

The town of Sterling once had this rig in service. It is a 1979 Dodge / Moody 250/250, it was assigned to Service 167.

This 1935 Mack 500/200 has been completely rebuilt and restored to operating condtion by the personnel from West Haven's North End Hose Co. 3 and master mechanic Ed Donegan. It is an original West Haven First Fire District engine and Ed proudly drove it out for me to photograph it.

The Connecticut Valley Hospital is a state facility located in the center of the city of Middletown. The Fire Department at this facility utilizes former city of Middletown Fire department apparatus. This is Engine 2, a 1995 Spartan/Marion 1500/500

King Industries is located in the city of Norwalk. Truck 1 on the left is a 1978 International/Continental rescue and hazmat unit. It once served the Plainfield fire District in the town of Plainfield Ct.
Car1 on the right, is a 2004 Club Car van used for EMS access inside the plant facilites
