Engine 1, a 1999 E1 1500/500(D) pumper is parked in front of the Greenwich Fire Headquarters In downtown Greenwich. Built in 1939, this landmark art deco fortress houses the The career fire department, three volunteer fire companies and the Greenwich Police Department. Art deco is my favorite style of art and architecture and a very few Firehouses in Connecticut utilize this style. I shot this view in 2001. See the top of page 28 in Volume 3, another one of my photos of this impressive edifice is shown with Engine 8 parked in front.
